GIVING BACK
—
Giving back to the community is a significant part of the fabric of who we are and what we do.
Muckfest
Amy's Muddah Truckahs will be getting down and dirty once again! This is a fun mud run in support of Amy (the owner's wife) who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis many years ago. This run is pure athletic hilarity, full of outrageous obstacles and lots of MUD. We're so proud of our team and the many donors who enable us to support Multiple Sclerosis research. Thank you for helping us support this cause.
Ready Set Grow
We love helping kids learn about growing plants. Our Ready Set Grow program shows them how to grow a basil plant from seed. Our flower pots are made from reclaimed organic materials and are biodegradable, and they come with basil seeds and a soil packet.
Participating Schools
Learn and Play Preschool (Acton), Shaker Lane Kindergarten (Littleton), the First Grade at the The Green Meadow School (Maynard) and Children’s Horizons (Stow and Bolton).
Concord Carlisle High School Softball
Lombardo Loam and Gravel is a proud long-term sponsor of the Concord Carlisle softball team who finished their 2018 season with a record of 21-2.
Maynard Christmas Parade
Rekindling an old Lombardo Loam tradition, we participated in the 51st annual Maynard Christmas Parade hosted by the Maynard Police and Firefighter Relief Association. We hope to join them for many years to come!
Green Meadow School Service Day
This day is a mix of service and celebration. The initial part of the day involves students working together to enhance the school. Each grade is assigned a specific task. The third grade class focuses on spreading mulch around the gardens in the front of the building each year which we gladly supply.
Mulch and Gift Card Donations
Here are a few of the community organizations we have supported with either a product donation or a gift card.

Surrounding police and fire departments

American Legion & Honor Flight New England
The American Legion Post #235 of Maynard hosts an annual fundraiser to benefit Honor Flight New England. This non-profit organization transports our most senior veterans to Washington, D.C. (at no charge to them) to visit and reflect at our national memorials. We are proud to support their benefit and this worthy cause for many years to come.
